The public sector Bank of Baroda on Sunday said that the process of consolidation of 3898 branches of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank has been completed. Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank were merged with Bank of Baroda from 1 April 2019.
The statement issued by Bank of Baroda said that in December 2020, the process of consolidation of 1770 branches of Dena Bank has been completed. The process of consolidation of 2128 branches of Vijaya Bank was completed in September 2020. We have successfully completed the consolidation process of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank branches despite the challenges of Kovid-19, said Sanjeev Chaddha, Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Baroda. We once again welcome the customers of these two banks.
The statement said that bank accounts of about 5 crore customers have been migrated during this process. Apart from this all bank branches, ATMs, POS machines and credit cards have been successfully migrated. Bank of Baroda says that now all the customers of all three banks can avail 8,248 domestic branches and 10,318 ATMs spread across the country.
Bank of Baroda says that customers of all three banks can now access the bank s digital channels. The bank says that the existing debit cards of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank customers will continue to work till the due date.
