According to the report, WhatsApp support will end on Apple devices running iOS 9 operating systems or Android phones running Android 4.0.3 operating systems. On a support page, the messaging platform advises users to use the latest version of their operating system to enjoy the all-new WhatsApp feature recently rolled out.
WhatsApp has advised users to upgrade their iPhone to iOS 9 or later operating system and Android phones to Android 4.0.3 and above.
This suggests that all iPhone models up to iPhone 4 will lose WhatsApp support.
Models include the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. That is, to continue using the WhatsApp service, users must immediately update their operating system to iOS 9 or later.
